Freedom from disease and video games have often been pitted against one another by concerned parents and plain liberals for as long as the latter has made its implicit debut into modern homes. It seems rather fitting, then, that Nintendo’s founding male parent Shigeru Miyamoto would approach closest to bringing the two together in the fashion of his latest invention, Wii Fit. Captivating the revolutionary motion sensing abilities of the Wii, Wii Fit features the inclusion of the Wii Pair of scales Board, a sturdy device placed under a horizontal surface, that can read the motions and gestures of anybody established on top of it. With this innovative feature, players of all ages can have a part in in several exercise-themed games where the post is not to engage a fearsome knob, but to shave off the deadly pounds and fat that pest humankind worldwide.

Wii Fit begins with a hearty introduction from the Wii Balance Board itself, rendered in emblematical Nintendo fashion as a cute and happy host that will assist players in their lengthy journey to weight deprivation. But like all journeys, it begins with a valorous foot forward, as the Wii board must first bring into being an assessment of the player’s ponderosity and balance; Once it has acquired some basic notice such as age and height, the balance board will then unfold the player’s gravity and BMI, or body mass pointer.
