Dave asks "How is the selection a tie?" He writes:
Complaining now that she has more votes is resembling waiting until the end of a Monopoly game and saying that I have more houses than you do on my properties, and that houses are in truth the key to Monopoly, so it's a tie even though I'm bankrupt and you have all the money.
So here's my reply.

First Things First
I support Obama. I in fact support Obama and don't especially of a piece Hillary. I--God help me--allied McCain--I respect his labor. I like conceptually the forge he will bring down on our enemies (I do not confident that every JDAM we drop creates more terrorists than it kills, for model). I like the guy on the stump--his neighborhood.

But for the most part, I can't take his economic policies. He's a "maverick" which instrument he gets moderate cred when in truth he isn't. In this election I'm more or less compelled to devoted for the Democrat whoever it is--and I really, absolutely, really hope it's Obama.

Next to the first Things Second
Blogs--and dialogue in general--resist tons of caveats (my posts are "wonkish" enough already, eh?). So when I say "it's a tie"--although I average it, I mean it with certain adjoining matter and caveats. That's what we're going to gaze at here.

Third Things Third: The Monopoly Analogy
I deficiency to get this out of the way right off the bat because analogies are a risky way to argue. They make a mighty point but they usually rend down immediately after that making an equally stalwart "counter-point" of some kind. If after the Monopoly game we played "House Wars" where our houses fought it out, I, with my surplusage of houses, would be in a better station. Especially if, in this (absurd) prototype, the first game was played for Monopoly money--and the next to the first game was played for keeps.
